Roberta Ferrario is a researcher in the Institute for Cognitive Sciences and Technologies of the CNR, the Italian National Research Council and she works in Trento, at the Laboratory for Applied Ontology. She has finished her PhD in Philosophy under the scope of a co-tutorship program between the Universities of Milan (Italy) and Strasbourg (France) in 2003. The PhD thesis was on a novel approach to counterfactual reasoning, based on Local Model Semantics. She has spent the academic year 2003-2004 at the Suppes Center for the Interdisciplinary Study of Science and Technology of Stanford University. She's author of numerous scientific articles and book chapters on social ontology, ontology of services, ontology of mental entities, philosophy of language. She is now project manager of the VisCoSo project, a three year "Research Unit" project grant financed by the Autonomous Province of Trento.
