Isabella Distinto is an associate researcher (assegnista di ricerca) of the Institute for Cognitive Sciences and Technologies of the CNR, the Italian National Research Council and she works in Trento, at the Laboratory for Applied Ontology. After graduating in Law at the University "Federico II" of Naples, she obtained an Italian Master's degree in "Documents management in E-Government processes" GDe-gov at the Engineering faculty of the same university. Since 2009 she is a PhD candidate in Legal Informatics at CIRSFID, University of Bologna, under the supervision of Prof. Monica Palmirani. From januar to may 2012, she had the opportunity to visit the Knowledge Media Institute, at The Open University, working under the supervision of Prof. Enrico Motta and Dr. Mathieu d'Aquin. Research interestsHer research activity is focused on the field of Artificial Intelligence & Law. In particular she is interested in legal ontologies and legal knowledge representation through Semantic Web languages.Selected publications
