Semantic Web for scientific and cultural organisations: results of some early experiments

Nell’ambito del progetto di ricerca MESMUSES realizzato con il contributo della Commissione Europea nel contesto del Quinto Programma Quadro dei Ricerca e Sviluppo Tecnologico (1998-2002), è organizzato il presente workshop con l’obbiettivo in primo luogo di presentare agli operatori dei musei scientifici italiani ed europei e agli operatori culturali in genere, il progetto, che applica la metodologia del web semantico per la realizzazione di portali per musei scientifici ed esplorare quindi la possibilità di sviluppare tale metodologia per scopi legati alla museologia scientifica e culturale. In secondo luogo il workshop, ospitando altri progetti europei realizzati in questo ambito, è occasione di confronto e discussione sui risultati raggiunti e sulle prospettive della metodologia del web semantico per contenuti a carattere storico - scientifico e culturale.
