WP0: Project Management
Scientific coordinator: ISTC-CNR

Tasks:
  • The overall coordination and overseeing of the project activities;
  • The organization of periodic project meetings;
  • The organization of an international scientific event towards the end of the project;
  • The preparation of annual project reports;
  • The coordination of dissemination activities;
  • The development of a strategy for the exploitation of results and the protection of intellectual rights;
  • The financial management, including the transfer of money to the partners
  • The communications with the funding agency (PAT).

WP1: Ontology
Scientific coordinator: ISTC-CNR
Participants: IRIT, UNITN.

Tasks:
  • Analysis of the problem of modeling organizations and security.
  • Definition of basic ontological primitives for modeling organizational and security concepts; characterization of their intended semantics by means of an axiomatic theory (the Organizations Security Ontology)
Deliverables:
D1 Organization and security modelling roadmap: a report on the current state of the art and a roadmap of major ontological choices in organization and security modelling (month 12).
D2 Ontology of organizations and security (preliminary version): a preliminary version of the language and the axiomatic theory (month 18).
D3 Ontology of organizations and security (final version): the final version of the language and the axiomatic theory (month 30).

WP2: Reasoning
Scientific coordinator: IRIT
Participants: ISTC-CNR.

Tasks:
  • Analysis of the problem of reasoning about security.
Deliverables:
D4 Security reasoning analysis and roadmap: a report on the current state of the art and a roadmap of major problems in reasoning about security and an analysis of possible logical framework for reasoning about security (month 24).

WP3: Methodology
Scientific coordinator: UNITN
Participants: ISTC-CNR.

Tasks:
  • Organization analysis: Definition of a methodology for analyzing the security aspects of an organization in terms of the social relations between its relevant actors.
  • System requirements analysis: Definition of a methodology for specifying and analyzing the security requirements of the system-to-be, relating them to the goals of the stakeholders and their dependencies with the system.
  • Definition of the whole methodology where all the processes of the different phases are combined.
Deliverables:
D5 Methodology for organization analysis: a document with the specification of the general procedures for organization and organization security analysis (month 15).
D6 Whole methodology specification: a document with the specification of the whole methodology (month 30).

WP4: Case Study
Scientific coordinator: UNITN
Participants: IRIT, ISTC-CNR.

Tasks:
  • Definition of a case study proposed by some organization in Trento.
  • Application of the methodology to the case study.
Deliverables:
D7 Case study description: a document with the description of the case study (month 18).
D8 Methodology evaluation: detailed application of the methodology to the case study and final evaluation (month 36).
